We came in after the snow storm, so we basically had the place to ourselves. Immediately sat and served. We noticed all the great vintage decor, it definitely gives hometown Cafe vibes. Their menu is massive, with breakfast options all day long. We ordered two of the skillets with hasbrowns. Massive serving. The coffee was hot and fresh. When we make it back up this way. We will definitely be back to try the Mexican food from the menu- lots of options.

Great food and wonderful service. One of the most affordable places in Big Lake for a family to go to whether it's breakfast lunch or dinner.
Wait was a bit long but other than that, it filled my belly! Every thing on the menu it seems was $14.95. I could be exaggerating, but it made me kind of laugh that everything was basically priced the same which made it harder to decide lol. All in all, I'm sure I will be back 1 million times as this is in a part of town I frequent often .
If you thought this was just another family restaurant with better than average American comfort food you would be right, until they bring out one of their house made tamales, and then it all goes out the window I'm not sure just who the friendly lady from Jalisco Mexico is but she makes a mean tamale that's as good as any I had in my years growing up on the border The breakfasts are really really good The burgers and fries are really really good But the tamales are in a whole nother league and are worth every minute of the drive from Palmer to Big Lake The service was friendly, the place is clean and family restaurant kitschy, the prices are very fair, and it's a good place to eat even if you never try the tamales But you should

This place is beyond amazing you just feel like you're eating with your family there such kind and caring and the food is so yummy and Delicioso
Quirky little diner. Lots of cool, old stuff, all over. Very nice staff, attentive and friendly. Food was pretty good. I had a delicious Caesar salad with a lot of shrimp. Hubby had a double decker BLT. Not very comfortable booth, but still a good lunch.

A great cafe with everything you'd expect at one. Its small town vibes and great decor from a bygone era make for a perfect breakfast eatery! We went on a Sunday and they were hopping, but the wait staff was still super attentive and efficient. My wife ordered the Chicken Fried steak, home fries, and eggs. I ordered the Supreme omelette with home fries and toast. The portions were perfectly sized, but also bigger than most places. Everything was so flavourful and delicious, but that gravy, daaaaaammmmmnnn, did it leave an impression!! Lastly, the pricing was extremely fair, especially in the current world we live in.....
